Video Games

Yes, my child visits friends and plays video games in small doses. I don’t have a single video game or gaming system in our home.  That’s my line in the sand to make my child get active.

I’ve had some parents explain the benefits of video games to me.  About how it’s creative,  how you have to problem solve, and better yet, how it develops hand-eye coordination.  But isn’t the real world just like that, only more so?  With video games, no matter how immersive the experience, is human-created world and thus limited. The real world is infinite and extends beyond my thumbs.
